Prime Minister Yusaf Raza Gillani expresses his satisfaction over the workings of the government

Yusaf Raza Gillani, who is the current Prime Minister of Pakistan and Vice-Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), is pretty satisfied with the workings of the government, as he claimed PPP will emerge as a single largest party in the Senate after March elections.

Gillani, who was previously Speaker of the National Assembly, told the media that PML-N leaders desperately want PPP to fall because they know they won’t be able to do anything after the upcoming March elections.

“There are all indications that PPP will emerge as a single largest party in the Senate after March elections with its coalition partners, and they (the PML-N leaders) want the fall of government before March by hook or by crook,” Gilani said while giving an interview to a private news channel.

PML-N has always claimed that they did a long-march to get the judiciary restored. However, the 59-year-old President doesn’t agree with it, as he insisted it was only democratic government due to which the judges were restored. Gillani remarked every political party including Shaheed Moharma Benazir Bhutto did their best for the restoration of the judiciary but they all failed and it was him who ordered the restoration.

While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “When I was elected Leader of the House in the National Assembly, I ordered the release of judges.”

The Prime Minister also commented on the foreign policy issue. He ensured that the government acted very gracefully and maturely with all the matters. Gillani revealed that relationships between Pakistan and United States are going fine, as he believes the resolution of the all parties’ conference (APC) has conveyed a very good massage to the international community.

He said, “We have to act gracefully and maturely. We have acted very maturely.”

Gillani in the end stated that the officials of both United States and Pakistan were just working for the betterment of the society and also that the United States’ knows very well what sacrifices ISI (Inter-Service Intelligence) has made.
