Rehman Malik for full action against escaped target killers

KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that some target killers have managed to flee to neighboring Balochistan, in wake of targeted operation.

Talking to journalists after his one-on-one meeting with the Provincial Home Minister Manzoor Wasan, on Thursday night, he said that these nefarious elements would nevertheless be chased at any length and breadth of Country.

He said that a conspiracy was being hatched to create sectarian strife and law and order situation in Balochistan.

Replying to a question regarding the tussle between Provincial Home Minister and Additional I.G Sindh Saud Mirza, the Federal Interior Minister said that there was no discussion over the issue.

Referring to Karachi operation, he said that some useful information had been discovered during targeted operation, while some terrorists had also been arrested, with explosives and suicide jackets impounded from them.

Strongly rejecting any statement against another question regarding Zulfiqar Ali Mirza’s constant volley of accusations and volatile statements, he said that he would offer no comments over any questions regarding Zulfiqar Mirza.

Answering another question regarding offering election ticket to son of Zulfiqar Mirza from vacant constituency of Badin, he said that this was entirely a political issue, and suggested limiting questions to federal interior matters, only.

On the occasion, he also informed that PM, Yousaf Raza Gilani had enquired about the issue of possible abduction of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari from him (Rehman Malik), over which he (Rehman Malik) had referred to reports from intelligence wing of interior ministry.

It is vital to mention here that the Al Qaeda and Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan had hatched a conspiracy to kidnap Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Meanwhile talking to press on the occasion, the Provincial home minister, Manzoor Wasan said that talks with the federal interior minister had focused over law and order in the Province, as he (Wasan) always sought Rehman Malik’s advice.

Answering another question regarding his (Wasan’s) tussle with Additional I.G Karachi Saud Mirza, Manzoor Wasan rejected any differences with the Provincial home minister.

Discoursing over the law and order situation of Karachi, the Provincial Home Minister informed that there had been a considerable reduction in crime and lawlessness in Metropolis.
