Spooky blockbuster: Paranormal Activity 3 – Hitting soon in Pakistani Cinemas

The much awaited upcoming super horror flick, Paranormal Activity 3, is a supernatural horror film and the third part of the Paranormal Activity series shot in 1980’s. It’s going to hit the cinema on October 21^st, 2011 worldwide and on October 28^th on Pakistani big screens.

Paranormal Activity Part three is actually a prequel rather than sequel. It is set eighteen years prior to the events of the first two movies. Two young sisters, Katie, played by Katie Featherston, and Kristi, played by Sprague Grayden, befriends with an invisible being that lives in their home. The invisible entity was friendly in the start but later tortured girls and their families.

Previous two parts had a slow build up, after which the movie progressed. However, this time, the film’s momentum is faster.

The Producer, Oren Peli, told, “For this one, the audience already has a familiarity with the style and the characters, we spent a little less time setting things up. The first and second had a slower build. We thought we could get away with jumping right into things because the hardcore fans know what we’re doing. Again, it was about experimentation and getting to the good stuff.”

The film is based in 1980’s with characters’ dressing and the set designed for that era. However, they use modern camera technology since 80’s camera won’t be acceptable to people’s eyes. In addition to this, the tagline of the movie is – it runs in the family, making the flick more interesting and scarier.

The posters and trailers also states, “Discover how the activity began” suggesting the movie will reveal all the untold answers and the reasons this family is being haunted.

Peli also declared they had no plans of making a second movie but after praises received from the first part, they made another. Same happened with the third part and he will plan another sequel after looking fans’ reaction.

The haunted flick received several great pre-release reviews and ratings. 89 percent of critics gave the film great reviews with an average rating of seven out of ten.
