In just four years of filmdom, Ranbir has done almost every kind of work such as drama, romantic and political thriller. Yet, the chocolate boy is not ready to rest on his laurel, as he wants to keep on improving and become the biggest actor of the industry
The grandson of the legendary Raj Kapoor started off his film career with a romantic movie Saawariya, for which he scooped the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut in 2007. He subsequently did light-hearted dramas like Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Bachna Ae
Haseeno and Wake Up Sid.
However, he proved his mettle as an actor by his mature performance in Rajneeti – the movie that made everybody realised that Ranbir has the guts to be a versatile actor. In his upcoming project Rockstar, Ranbir is playing a role of a revolutionist singer.
Completely satisfied with the effort so far in his career, the cool guy feels that he is moving in the right direction to establish himself as a great artist.
"I hope I can grow with every character I do. I want to be the biggest star. I want to be the best actor and I feel I am on the right path. I have been fortunate that I have worked with such talented directors," Ranbir, 29, said in an interview.
Not worried about the negative news about him, he claimed that he is just focussed on his work, adding that the rumours and negative reviews can’t hamper him from taking huge strides towards success.
“People have tried to pull me down with negative reviews and never-ending rumours. But that doesn’t affect me at all now. I have become numb to such stories. I have learnt how to detach myself. It doesn’t bother me or my peace of mind," added the son of
famous Bollywood actors, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh.
Talking about his upcoming picture Rockstar, he shared that it is a love story of young student, clarifying that the movie is not all about music.
