Will the politics of Pakistan change with the advent of an emerging party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)

Since Pakistan came into being, after the first military rule in 1958, the only two parties who have governed the country are Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (PMLN). Even though, Pakistan Muslim League (Q) also ruled Pakistan for
more than eight years but that governance came as a result of military overrule rather than as a democratic regulation.

With the deterioration of every democratic era, Military took over Pakistan followed by bad governance which once again left Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (PMLN) as the two biggest parties to choose from. Each party has ruled a
number of times, claiming that they can bring stability and prosperity in the country. However, their promises were left behind after gaining the confidence of the people to come in power.

Recently, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by the former captain of Pakistan Cricket Team Imran Khan, gathered the people of Lahore at the historical monument Minar-e-Pakistan. By the looks of the gathering, it seems like PTI is an emerging party in the
country and Imran Khan’s speculations about his party has started to seem true.

For those, who thought Imran Khan talking about the change and PTI becoming a popular party in the country is not more than day dreaming, must have seen by themselves when a massive number of people gathered at Minar-e-Pakistan to show their support. However,
the question is that whether the advent of an emerging Party in Pakistan PTI will change the traditional politics of Pakistan.

There is no doubt that the people of Pakistan especially youth are now more involved in the current affairs of the country and they are sick and tired of the same faces seeking support to govern every time. The people are looking for a change and that is
why PTI has suddenly become a popular party after 15 years of struggle, who is also roaring for a change.

With the induction if another party in the political arrangement of Pakistan, the politics is going to change for sure and hopefully this change will be in the benefit of the country.
