After PTI’s convention PML-N says it is willing to work with the opposition parties

A day after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s (PTI) large convention on Sunday at Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has said it is willing to work with all other political parties
in order to eradicate corruption, as PML-N believes a single political force cannot get rid of the corruption.

Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, who is a PML-N leader in the National Assembly, stated his party is willing to shake hands with any other opposition party, if it is for benefit of the country.

“No single political party can steer the country out of crisis and if the opposition agrees on one point of saving the country, working together is a possibility,” Nisar said at a press conference in Islamabad
on Monday. “We will also contact people from the original PPP, not for the sake of power but for Pakistan,” he said.

Nisar was also asked if PML-N is worried about Khan’s massive rally, which was one of the largest thus far. Nisar replied by saying PML-N is not much worried after he said it is not a cricket match. Nisar
revealed they also have a few questions which they want to ask Khan especially this that who finances his rallies. Nisar was also curious why Khan didn’t criticise Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) even when he filed a complaint against its Chairman Altaf Hussian
in UK.

“We welcome Imran Khan but politics is not a T20 match. You cannot conquer Pakistan through one demonstration,” he said.

The Chairman of PTI, Imran Khan, on Sunday also stated that PTI is willing to shake hands with PML-N’s Chairman Nawaz Sharif, if Sharif declares all of his assets. Imran said the same about all other parties
as well, as he reckons there are a lot of honest politicians out there who because of their political career fears to join any other party.

“So many politicians are trapped in other parties but do not leave them for fear of their political future. They should leave and join the PTI,” Imran told reporters at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International
Airport before leaving for China on Monday.

Since PTI’s convention assumptions are being made that many seasoned politicians will now join PTI such as Pakistan Peoples Party’s Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who is considering joining the PTI.
