Asin Thottumkal: I regret missing out on a film with Rajini Sir
Bollywood start Asin Thottumkal has said that she regrets to miss out on an Indian film with Bollywood producer Rajini Sir.
Asin added that no doubt Rajinikanth is one of the legends of Indian cinema. She told the media that she has met him at several film-related functions and that he has always had words of encouragement for me. In addition, she stated she hopes he get a film
with him someday.
An Indian model and stage performer Asin turned one year old this Diwali on October 26. The Bollywood actress, who is busy shooting for a couple of B-town projects, brought in her 26th birthday with her parents and close friends in Mumbai and
gifted herself a six-room apartment in Kochi.
She talked about her upcoming movie and mentioned that she is currently shooting for Housefull 2 and it is one of those terrific comedies made on a lavish scale. Jacqueline Fernandez Shazahn Padamsee, Zarine Khan and Asin are shooting for a song with Farah
Khan in these days for this movie.
Talking to reporters, Asin commented, “In the south, I was never offered multi-starrers, because they rarely happen there. No two big heroes agree to work with each other, because each of them has such a massive fan following that it becomes near impossible
to justify them in two-hero projects. I’ve been selective in the south because I was always offered the biggest films. In Bollywood, things are different. Multi-starrers are the norm and big heroines are happy to be part of a big movie.”
She went on to say, “I just gifted myself a six-bedroom apartment in Kochi. It is on the Marine Drive and overlooks the rainbow bridge. I am not a materialistic girl. But there is a sense of pride and achievement that I have managed to buy something that
I am proud of. I already have a home in Kochi. This is my second. My parents, who stay with me in Mumbai, visit our home in Kochi every month. I am also planning to spend more time there when my work schedule eases a bit.”
