Electricity Crisis – Personal Growth of Paki Leaders!

Our country is in deep financial, political, social, economical and last but not the least power crisis; corruption is at its peak and so is poverty; disparity between the distributions of national income has no boundaries; immorality is prevailing; human
trafficking and child labour are mundane; the rich is getting richer and poor is falling two to three grades below the poverty line. Still, our leaders don’t want to bring a change and are impervious to development and rehabilitation.

Electricity crisis are at their pinnacle, there is hardly any assurity as to when there would be electricity failure and instead, it just comes and goes at its will. Some areas of Pakistan don’t have electricity for more than a day; everything works on power
and when there is no power, there is no life – especially these days. When citizens are deprived of this basic necessity for days and weeks, what do you expect from them? A noble gesture or a disastrous outbreak!

We are not able to produce electricity considering the fact that our country is geographically next to an Arabian sea. The charge for electricity is increasing at an exponential rate; from almost around Rupees 4 per unit in summers it has skyrocketed to
Rupees 11 per unit now and will increase every two months as per American IMF policies! In addition, electricity is becoming increasingly difficult for a normal citizen to afford. This hyper inflation has deprived people of basic necessities of life!

A little insight for the common man; Iran offered us to provide electricity at Rupees 1.18 per unit but our ‘faithful’ leaders rejected that offer because they were not getting any commission from this deal and the growth in their bank balances would have
declined drastically.

Acceptance of this offer would have enabled our industries to work at a rapid pace; easing the nerves of the citizens, but our ‘honest’ leaders would not have that! Industries incurring huge costs for shutting down their manufacturing units would have lowered
their cost of production by continuous production and that would have been reflected in their prices as well. All of a sudden, Pakistan would have been a much better place but how can she progress when we have such ‘sincere’ and ‘innocent’ rulers that can’t
say no to corruption.

China came up with a terrific offer as well; they were ready to provide UNLIMITED and I repeat UNLIMITED electricity to every citizen of Pakistan at Rupees 300 per house hold per month! This offer was turned down for the same reason – NO COMMISSION!

Allah helps those who help themselves; if we are not honest with ourselves, how can we pray for our rehabilitation when we don’t want the situation to perk up.

It is prime time to stand up and fight for your right..!
