Never mind, I’ll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you too
Don’t forget me, I beg
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead,
Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead,"
Yeah.

A fragment from UK’s pop sensation, Adele’s song “Someone Like you”

For her fans, these might just be lyrics but for Adele, each and every word of this song and in fact all of the songs of her second album “21” has a profound meaning.

Having earned mammoth fame from the song “rolling in the deep”, Adele recently revealed the album was inspired by her former boyfriend. All the songs especially “someone like you” bring back the memories of her ex boyfriend and even when she is performing
these songs, she often gets emotional. She has not disclosed the name of the boyfriend that has left her wounded, however she openly accepted that she is still not over him.

"It’s bittersweet because I wouldn’t give up this success for anything. But at the same time, I’d do anything to be with him. I miss him. I do."It’s hard singing all these songs because it makes me remember how brilliant we were when we were good… and
how tragic it was when we were bad." She said

Adele gained commercial success after her first album titled “19” was released in 2008. The song from the album “Chasing Pavements” was received well in UK and later it led her to winning the Urban Music award for the “Best Jazz Act”

The fame skyrocketed when the song reached US. She was invited in the “Saturday Night Live” where she performed the hit that was praised immensely by the crowd. In no time, the album became a hit in US making 11th on the Billboard Charts after
climbing up 35 spots.

Later in 2010, she received a Grammy nomination for her song “Hometown Glory” though she did not win the award in the end. But she had made an impact an in future she would go on to come up with an album that took her to a whole new level.

Rolling in the deep was on number one on different music charts for weeks and after that the slot was replaced by her another single “Someone like You”

There is no doubt that in future, the broken hearted British will be giving even bigger hits. As for now, we wish she gets over her ex soon.
