TLC Production “Aladdin” an act of accomplishment

“Aladdin” a TLC production hit the theaters on Wednesday and ended with a perfect response as it echoed words of triumph, success and above all accomplishment.  Orchestrated by Bina S Zafar, the play took the Aladdin saga to a whole new level with its craft
where a packed auditorium was treated with some magical performance by its young cast.

It followed the concept of Aladdin, played by Makaiel Naqvi, 13, who is granted 3 wishes by Genie (Mustafa Khan), while the two team to upsurge the tyrant wizard Jafar ( played by Zarnab Rashid ) and in between all is Prince Jasmine     ( Zara Qadir, 11).
The plot revolves around these pivotal characters and the rest of the story encompasses the endeavors they all have to face in fulfilling their respective desires.

A compelling tale, it certainly ignites the whole saga in a way, which will definitely be loved by the youth. Despite fantastic performances there were few back drops in terms of execution of some scenes, however, one cannot take anything away from the efforts
put in by everyone to make this musical comedy a thumping success.

Bina praised her young cast for their commendable performances. “The Aladdin family has done me proud and I hope and pray that they are blessed with nothing but the best in life and all of their dreams come true,” she said.

“You will hear music from the movie, as well as the other songs sung by Jasmine. True to the movie, you will see Aladdin and Jasmine flying on the magic carpet, the cave of wonders, and even the wonderful parade that was used to bring the prince to the palace,”
added Oheed Ahmed,10.

So hats off to all involved, who have rejuvenated the spirit of theatres.
