Dengue claims one more live in Lahore, death toll surges 350 in the metropolitan area

 

 

The horrendous dengue virus claimed one more live in Lahore, increasing the total number of dengue deaths from 349 to 350 in the provincial capital, on Friday, November 11.

According to a report, 34 year old Zahid Bashir of Tajpura scheme succumbed to dengue in the Jinnah Hospital during the last 24 hours in Lahore.  Approximately 85 new dengue cases were reported during the last 48 hours in Lahore.

Around about eight new dengue cases had been reported in Mayo Hospital, while 15 patients had been tested positive in the Jinnah Hospital. Eight dengue patients had been reported in Ganga Ram Hospital, whereas 23 patients had been admitted in Services Hospital.

One dengue patient was tested positive in Institute of Public Health during the last 24 hours in Lahore. In addition, 30 new dengue cases were reported in various private and public healthcare centres, hospitals, laboratories and medical clinics.

More importantly, over 2,000 dengue patients belong to Lahore alone. But the good news is that there has been a slight reduction in the dengue pandemic due to the changing weather conditions in the provincial capital during the last seven days.

According to research findings from the Punjab Health Department, around about 86 dengue patients have been restored to health and released from the various healthcare centres and hospitals in Lahore, on Thursday. Approximately 11 new dengue patients were
discharged after a successful treatment from the Mayo Hospital.

In the meantime, 18 dengue patients had been restored to health and discharged from the Services Hospital and 9 from the Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital during the last 24 hours in Lahore. Moreover, 31 dengue sufferers were discharged from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital
and one patient from the Children’s Hospital.

More or less eighth dengue patients had been released from the Said Mitha Hospital and one from the Nawaz Sharif Hospital Yakki Gate. Additionally, five dengue patients were discharged from the Mian Munshi Hospital on Thursday.

 According to the research findings, almost 20,474 dengue patients have been restored to health and released from the various hospitals and healthcare centres in Punjab, of whom, 17,193 patients restored to health and released from the various hospitals
