The stage was all set and the fans did the rest – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 finally made its way on the store shelves on November 8, 2011 (the official release date of the game); while the buyers made sure that they snatched even the last copy of the
third version of the mammoth hit first person shooter campaign.
As for the gameplay, the whole setting has also received some colossal reviews – but the whole thing takes its hype after fans get to experience the much anticipated return of former Task Force 141’s Captain John ‘Soap’ MacTavish and his daunting partner
and former SAS Captain, John Price.
The danger duo will also be joined in by a Russian informant, Nikolai – as the faction makes a run for it after killing US Army’s Lt. General Shepherd, in the last issue. Apart from the trio, many other characters have been added to Modern Warfare 3, but
let stick to the main characters for now.
Captain John ‘Soap’ MacTavish
The 3rd campaign, however, will come with a little twist since Captain Soap will remain as an unplayable character – but at will resume his role from where it was left in the 2nd release as the Captain is being ‘medivaced’ to Nikolai’s
safe house in India.
After experiencing extreme trauma, MacTavish flat-lines, but is quickly revived. When he heals up enough to be combat effective, Soap helps on several missions throughout the game.
Captain John Price
Captain John Price, famously known for his call sign ‘Bravo Six’, is a British SAS soldier and has been a regular character on the preceding modern warfare releases and for the will once again be seen carrying his modified M4A1 SOPMOD).
In Modern Warfare 2, Price was imprisoned in a Russian gulag but is later rescued and becomes a field commander of Task Force 141.
