President Asif Ali Zardari hints Pakistan Peoples Party’s re-organization soon

President Asif Ali Zardari has said that re-organization of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would be initiated soon and punitive action would be taken against the violation of party discipline.

He was addressing the senior leadership of PPP at the presidential camp office, in Bilawal House, Karachi. On the occasion Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Federal Ministers Syed Naveed Qamar and Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Senator Raza Rabbani and Faryal
Talpur alongwith other leaders were also present.

The President said that the PPP was following the vision of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. If somebody considers that the PPP is not aware of people’s problems then he is on mistake. “We are very close to the nation as our life and death is with
the people of Pakistan. There is no threat to the government. I advise those political friends who are see the dreams to bring some change that they should wait for next general elections which would be held at prescribed time i.e. in 2013. PPP was elected
by the votes of people”, he added.

He said that the PPP is pursuing the policy of reconciliation due to which democracy was strengthened in the country. The government has strong relations with all political parties. The PPP would continue its journey with their cooperation.” We do not want
confrontation with any one. Entire political and religious parties should work jointly to resolve the public’s problems”, Zardari added.

He said that progress and prosperity of Pakistan is the agenda of PPP for the next two years and for this long and short term policies are being prepared on war footing basis.   

Asif Ali Zardari also stated that rehabilitation and relief activities in the rain and flood affected areas of Sindh and steps for mitigating people’s miseries is the first precedence of the federal and the provincial governments.

He also observed that the elected people should step forward and administer the relief operations in their own constituencies and areas. He added that serving the nation and progress of the underdeveloped areas is the manifesto of his party.

He said in this democratic setup, all the PPP representatives should concentrate on people’s welfare projects and recommend new plans in this regard.
