Four dead and 28 injured in various traffic incidents across Pakistan, authorities take notice
Twenty passengers were injured three of them in a serious condition when a van, Sukkur bound passenger, overturned near Daulatpur on National Highway in early hours of Tuesday. The van was coming from Hyderabad. The driver lost control over steering when
its tyre burst at half way to Sukkur. As a result the van overturned and fell into a ditch. The injured passengers were shifted to Qazi Ahmed and Daulatpur hospitals for treatment.
Meanwhile, in Mianchannu, a motorcyclist was killed while two others sustained serious injuries in a collision between two motorcycles near here on Tuesday.
Reportedly, Muhammad Asif and Shahzad of Chak 7/8-R were going to Mohsinwal on a motorcycle when a speeding motorcycle, driven by Muhammad Sajid, crashed into their two-wheeler. As a result, Muhammad Sajid died on the spot while Muhammad Asif and Shahzad
received serious injuries and were shifted to Nishter Hospital Multan.
While, a motorcyclist was killed while another sustained injuries in a traffic accident in the area of D-Type Colony police station. According to police, 24-year-old Ali Raza of Muhammadi Chowk was riding a motorcycle when he collided with another motocyclist
coming from the opposite direction on Sammundri Road.
As a result, Ali Raza died on the spot while the injured was shifted to a hospital. Meanwhile, at least two persons were killed and five others injured in a head on collision between a hiace van and truck here on Tuesday.
According to police, a hiace van carrying a wedding party from Khankah Dograan to Hafizabad collided head-on with a goods laden truck near motorway interchange.
Two persons identified as Aftab Ahmed and a young girl Amina were killed in the accident while five others sustained injuries. The Rescue 1122 personnel soon after the accident reached the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to District Headquarters
Hospital (DHQ) Hafizabad.
The police said that deceased and injured people were returning home after attending a wedding ceremony when they met the tragic mishap.
