Sonakshi Sinha out of ‘Race 2’ for Salman Khan ‘Dabangg 2’
Sonakshi Sinha, who is the daughter of actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha, walked out of upcoming Bollywood movie ‘Race 2’ which is directed by Abbas-Mustan and chose Salman Khan’s new movie ‘Dabangg 2’. The 24-year-old, Sonakshi has confirmed that
she refused to work in ‘Race 2’ because of date issues.
The delay in shooting conflicted her dates with ‘Dabangg 2’ and it was not possible for her to accommodate both the films at the same time. In February, she was looking forward to work in ‘Race 2’ but now she moved out.
She was really disappointed for not being a part of Abbas-Mustan’s film in which all the famous stars, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Ameesha Patel are taking part.
Sonakshi told the media, “It was unfortunate that I had to opt out of ‘Race 2‘. I was really looking forward to it. But when the dates of ‘Race 2‘were shifted forward I couldn’t be part of the film as the shooting for the sequel of ‘Dabangg‘was
to begin from March.”
The ‘Dabangg 1’ director Abhinav Kashyap is no longer directing, being replaced by Arbaaz Khan. Arbaaz has taken the responsibility of directing the forthcoming Bollywood movie. In this movie, Sonakshi and Salman will play parents role.
She is getting ready to play Rajjo role again and Chulbul Pandey, confessed the story goes forward in the sequel to her hit debut.
She explained, “I don’t think I can divulge too much about a film that’s yet to go on floors. Arbaaz (director, producer and script writer) may not like it. We have to try and keep as much as we can under wraps till the film’s release, next Christmas.”
Recently, Sonakshi and Ranveer Singh are working together in the new movie ‘Lootere’ and rumours about their relationship have spread all over. The film is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and it will be release in December. She is also busy in completing
work in other movie ‘Joker’.
The production and shooting of the films will start on March 2012 and it is expected to be released in December 2012.
