Barack Obama says Asia-Pacific tour will boost up employment in US
The United States President Barack Obama wrapped up his nine-day trip to the Asia-Pacific region on Saturday and declared that his trip was successful and will boost up the U.S. employment as a result of some business deals and economic proposals.
Obama believes that the Asia Pacific region is the fastest growing market in the world and in order to make the US economy stable and on the rise, the Asia-Pacific market will play a vital role.
“As the fastest-growing region in the world, no market is more important to our economic future than the Asia Pacific, a region where our exports already support 5 million American jobs,” Obama said.
The United Sates are planning to double their exports by 2014 and for that; the government is taking all the necessary steps which will help them achieve their goal in the required time. Barack Obama’s nine days tour to the Asia-Pacific region was also one
of the agenda of taking the economy of US to the next level and open new opportunities for the workers and businessman.
On his final day of the tour, Obama mentioned different trade deals including a plan for Boeing Company to sell airplanes to Indonesia which will support nearly 130,000 US jobs.
“We can compete against anybody, and we can win. As president, I intend to make sure that happens by doing everything I can to give American workers and businesses the chance to succeed.” Obama said.
Apart from making some productive deals, Barack Obama also declared that the US economy has to change the tradition of buying and convert it into manufacturing. The US economy has been concentrating more on imports and consuming which is one of the major
drawbacks especially under the prevailing economic situation. Obama is determined to take necessary measures in order to encourage the business and industries to fulfil their requirement by producing which will eventually increase their exports.
