Deepika Padukone: Ranbir is just fabulous in Rockstar

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone said she has watched the movie Rockstar. She added that Ranbir Kapoor I think it is Ranbir’s most consistent and flawless performance and that Ranbir Kapoor is just fabulous in the film.

The Indian actress and model Deepika recently spoke about her reconnecting with Bollywood super star Ranbir Kapoor for their next film ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani’ and how she loved him in recently released movie Rockstar.

It was asked to Deepika about her new film with Ranbir, so she mentioned that she is with the thought of working with Ranbir again. She also mentioned that she is extremely at ease with the idea. In addition, he said that see, any actress need to be comfortable
with her costar, especially if the film is a love story.

Deepika talked about her upcoming film and added that she is very excited about working with Ranbir again in Ayan Mukherjee’s film “Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.”

She told the media that Ranbir and she have been waiting for a good script to come their way for some time and when, Ayan came up with the script for "YJHD", they were both very excited. Deepika said that it is an amazing script and they will start shooting
for it in the month of January 2012.

Talking to reporters, she commented, “I have watched "Rockstar" twice. I even went up to Ranbir and asked him what he was going to do after this, because with this film, he has entered an interesting phase of his career. Ranbir has always been a good actor
– he just needed the right director to give him that role.”

She went on to mention, “The shoot of the film was delayed as the makers of the film shifted the dates. Each time, I adjusted and allotted my dates for the film accordingly and never backed out of them. So speculation about the film being delayed because
of me or my opting out of it are untrue. They’re completely untrue. This is something I had been hoping to do for myself. I want to lose one or two kilos to get that sculpted look. I think it will make a huge difference onscreen.”

Deepika signed off by saying there are two films in her hand and three more in the pipeline.
