Bahria University Football Team – Analysis – Strikers – Part 1

Ahmed Saeed Butt: Ahmed Saeed Butt, or Butt as he is more commonly referred to, is the first choice striker for the BU football team. The young forward has proven his worth in the games that he has played for the team over the last couple of months and from
the way things are shaping up, he seems to be getting better with every game that he plays for the team.

Butt’s specialities include mazy runs past opposing defenders and the ability to beat his man with some quick movement of his feet. He is a natural finisher and tends to utilize his space brilliantly.

However, should he work on improving his headers and his penalties, then he could end up being a much more complete player than he already is.

Ahmad Mehdi: Ahmad Mehdi aka MehdiMessi aka Mehdi, tends to play as a left forward/left winger, but doesn’t have any problems drifting into the middle and helping out the striker, or playing just off him.

Mehdi has tantalizing pace and some of the quickest feet the Bahria team has ever seen. However, these abilities that he possesses, often tend to lead to him having a few mix-ups on the pitch. Given at the pace the forward travels, he tends to sometimes
knock the ball a little too far out, or ends up trying a signature run down the left, without any regard for what is happening around him.

Mehdi has been able to try and keep his pace and runs in check lately and this has helped his game out tremendously. His work rate and urge to drop back and receive passes is always a massive boost to the team. These attributes, mixed with his ability to
pass the ball and curl the ball into the goal, cause him to be one of the most lethal players on the team.

The only thing he really needs to work on, is his chips. When they work, they look great, but so far I have only seen him execute them successfully eight percent of the time.
