Martinez wins the “Dancing with the stars” competition
The 13th season of the American reality show “Dancing with the Stars” ended up on Tuesday night, November 22, 2011. After experiencing many ups and downs, the beautiful pair of J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff settled for the top position in the dance competition.
The current season of Dancing with the Stars took centre stage on September 19 and ran form almost 10 weeks. Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli did an amazing job as the judges, while Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke Charvet enjoyed
the spotlight for being the hosts of show. A total of 12 couples entered the competition and showcased their tempting and alluring dance moves to the world.
The contestant pairs comprised of a celebrity paired with a professional dancer. This year following couples appeared on the show:

Rob Kardashian, 24, the reality TV brother often overshadowed by his famous – and infamous – older sister Kim Kardashian went against J.R. Martinez, 28, the soldier-turned-actor in the final contest. Both couples earned good points for their final dance
‘Samba’, while Karadashian had one-point lead. However, the judges’ scores make up only half the final results. Once the viewers’ votes were calculated, J.R. Martinez was determined as the winner.
Martinez was simply overjoyed with the sense of winning this amazing competition. He thanked everyone who liked their performances and voted for them for 10 weeks. "Thank you, America, for believing in us." said Martinez.
Furthermore, he appreciated the great effort of his dance partner Karina Smirnoff. He complimented his teammate in the following manner: "You are amazing, and I’m so grateful I was able to be a part of your first mirror-ball trophy."
Runner-up Rob Kardashian, who was paired with Cheryl Burke, congratulated the winning pair and echoed their celebratory sentiments. "I’m super thankful," he said, after the results were announced. "This is such a crazy experience. I’m definitely not sad.
I won in my book."
The fourteenth season of Dancing with the Stars is scheduled to run on March 19, 2012.
