Imran Khan backs Zulfiqar Mirza’s actions against MQM

Imran Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has backed former Sindh Minister Zulfiqar Mirza for his positive actions against the Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leadership.

Mirza is currently in London and has reportedly provided evidence to the Scotland Yard against MQM leader Altaf Hussain and his party regarding the Imran Farooq murder case.

Talking to the media, Mirza revealed that he was contacted by the PTI chief, who also has been at loggerheads with the MQM leader.

The former Sindh Home Minister stated, “Imran Khan contacted me by telephone in London and assured me his full support on all positive issues. I also assured Imran Khan that I too will fully support his all positive actions.”

He further went onto say, “I have handed over important documents to the Scotland Yard in Imran Farooq murder case and the MQM will be soon declared a terrorist organisation. I have extended my stay in London on the request of the Scotland Yard, my wife
and Speaker of the National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza has also arrived in London and I will spend some time there with them.”

If any action is taken against MQM, it will definitely help Imran in his election campaign, as he has also planned a rally in Karachi on Sunday, December 25, 2011.

Imran has been raising voice against corrupt politicians and wants them to reveal their assets in public. He has claimed to reveal his personal assets in front of the media in the coming days in order to clarify his name.

PTI is gaining popularity in the country, especially amongst the youth and other political parties such as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) are under immense pressure due to their inability to guide the country out of
crisis.

The former cricketer has also been alleged of being assisted by the establishment in Pakistan, but denied such reports and said that the other parties such as PML-N were the real product of the establishment.

He has been at loggerheads with PML-N leadership and had claimed that they feared his party. He further added that in case of free and fair elections, the corrupt politicians will not stand a chance against PTI.
