Corruption and the progress of Pakistan

Since the creation of Pakistan, the political characters of this country have always been remained busy in the pursuit of power and when they got it, they manipulated it in every possible way to gain personal materialistic goals. The current miserable situation
of this country is the results of the constant corruption of the rulers.

The important fact of this wretched situation is that we select these rulers who betray us time and again. These so-called rulers are not the only ones to put every fault upon, as we all are also at fault. They are not the only corrupt people; we are also
sharing the same heinous act with them.

The rulers have the access and power to make corruption on a large scale, whereas we also do the same but on a small scale or what is in our reach. We are the thieves of electricity and always put blame on the government that increases the rates of electricity
with regular intervals.

We do not pay the right amount of bills by making faults in our electricity meters. We do not pay property tax and also show our commercial property as residential one. We do not reveal our true assets to save as much tax as we can.

The government officials do not perform their duties honestly without taking bribery from the general people who come to them to get a solution of their problems. People are afraid of going to the police station for registering their complaints against a
crime because they know that instead of helping them, the police officials will create more trouble from them.

Wherever you go out of your house, you will see that corruption has become so common among our society that people event do not think it a bad act. They think that they have the right to do so. When this corruption has penetrated in our roots, how can we
expect good rulers who are pious and remain away from this evil?

Majority of people in this society have become corrupt and by doing corruption they are not also becoming a stumbling block in the progress of Pakistan and they also do not have the right to say that the rulers are corrupt. If the society starts to resist
corruption then we will definitely have good rulers and the progress of Pakistan will be on the right track.
