Happy Feet Two out now in theatres near you

Happy Feet Two returns fans to the marvellous landscape of Antarctica in superb 3D. Sequel to the academy award winning animated smash hit ‘Happy Feet’, this new adventure was released on 18th November, 2011.

Directed by George Miller, who co-directed the original film, Happy Feet Two centres on Mumble (voiced by Elijah Wood), The Master of Tap, who has problem because of his tiny son Erik (voiced by Ava Acres) being a choreo-phobic. Erik runs away and encounters
The Mighty Sven, a penguin who can fly. Mumble can’t compete with him and the things gets worse when the world is shaken by powerful forces. Erik learns his father’s ‘guts and grit’ as Mumble brings together penguins and all creatures (from tiny krill to giant
elephant seals) to put things right.

The 3D animated adventure consists of an all star cast who gave their voices. Apart from Woods – Frodo of The Lord of the Rings series, the movie featured voices of Robin Williams as Ramon and Lovelace, Brad Pitt as Will the krill, Matt Damon as Bill the
Krill, Alecia Moore (Pink) as Gloria along with many others.

Brittany Murphy, who originally voiced Gloria, was set to reprise her role and begin recording in 2010. However, she died on December 20th, 2009 from pneumonia. Richard Carter on the other hand replaced Steve Irwin, voiced Trev the elephant seal,
who died in a stingray attack on September 4th, 2006.

It received mixed reviews from critics. Review aggregator of Rotten Tomatoes reported 43 percent of critics gave positive reviews, based on 80 reviews. The site general consensus states, “The animation is as eye-popping as ever, but Happy Feet Two’s narrative
is too noisily incoherent to recapture the Oscar-winning charm of its predecessor.”

Jennifer Punter of Globe and Mail stated, “The film reminds viewers young and old that to make a positive change, sometimes the little guy at the bottom of the food chain needs to stomp his feet.”

The 117 minutes long animated adventure, Happy Feet Two is a good way to spend some time with your family and friends, making it worthy to watch at least once.
