Katrina Kaif says that she has no competition with Priyanka Chopra in Agneepath
After receiving huge success in ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ in 2010, Katrina Kaif is ready with another item song, ‘Chikni Chameli’ in upcoming movie ‘Agneepath’. The film is directed by Karan Malhotra of Dharma Productions while Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra
will play major roles.
The rumours spread all over that Kat has overshadowed her co-actresses Priyanka Chopra but Katrina has denied the news and said, Priyanka, Hrithik and Sanjay Dutt are all very pleased with her roping. There is no competition between Kat’s and Priyanka in
Katrina’s title song, Chameli has been linked with Kareena Kapoor, who did films with the same name in 2004 but Katrina told the media that she is just performing an item number on this name and Kareena did full movie, so there is no question of sharing
Kat is working really hard for this item number and very excited to see the audience’s reaction. She was pleased to work with Karan Johar as both of them worked together in ‘Dostana 2’. Katrina accepted this item song because she always wanted to do something
for Karan because he is very nice guy.
Katrina told the media, “I hope and pray it becomes bigger than any of the previous item songs. As actors, we love doing better than what’s been done in the past. I don’t think there’s anything wrong in expecting that.”
In the song, Katrina is seen wearing a choli and lehenga and lost her 3 kilos weight while preparing for the song. Hrithik also claimed that Kat’s doing superb job, Meanwhile Sanjay Dutt, who plays villain role in ‘Agneepath’ also agreed with Hrithik comments.
She added, "Yes, I did say that, I accept it. I had said it as it was really hard to get into that shape. But when Karan approached me for this number, even though I was not 100% sure, his conviction made me go back on my words."
Katrina has shot item song for ten days in Goregon and completed movie on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see whether her item song achieve success like ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ and ‘Chammak Challo’.
