The collection of 12 tracks recorded, as early as 2002, were not used in any of Winehouse’s studio album releases. The recording features Winehouse’s vocals and guitar parts and the whole recording was made in a single take in London, in 2009. Though the
tracks, according to reviews and ratings from the listeners, has a far more exquisite response than Winehouse’s last records, as a staggering 70,000 copies have been sold so far.

Winehouse’s father, Mitch, stated a huge figure of 140,000 copies of the album sold. Further, he wrote on Twitter, "Just been told. Amy at number 1. 140,000 sold = £140,000 to foundation in one day. Well done baby. My heart is sad but bursting with pride".

The album includes "Between the Cheats," a composition by Winehouse which was recorded in the year 2008. "A Song For You," reflecting a heartbreaking and emotional sound is also a part of the compilation.  “A Song For You” is a new version of the classic
by Leon Russell. The song was also sung by Donny Hathaway, Winehouse’s favourite artist.

The album has received mixed reviews overall. Several critics said that the music pointed to Winehouse’s huge potential but also failed to live up to the high standards she would have demanded when at her peak.

Amy Winehouse, an artist with a distinctive vocal timbre and trendy “beehive” hairstyle was found dead in her North London home on 23rd July. Reports and investigations show that she had been a regular user of alcohol and consumed five times more than  the
legal driving limit of liquor when she died.

with her posthumous album to come forth, the audiences will certainly be given a treat of her musical charisma.
