Zardari’s trip to Dubai

It has recently been revealed by associates as well as officials that the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari made a visit to the doctor in Dubai. The visit was made in order to get tests done for his heart.

However, the visit of the President of Pakistan did not go without rumours. The trip to Dubai of Asif Ali Zardari sparked off rumours that the President of Pakistan is using the pretext for getting ill in order to get off from the office. The rumours state
that the pretext is required as the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari is being pressurized to step down from the office by the military of the country.

Despite the rumours, Farhatullah Babar negated the stories in the following words: "All these reports are untrue, imaginary and speculative."

Other than that, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani also gave the statement in which he said that Asif Ali Zardari made the visit to the doctor in Dubai because his children insisted that he should carry out the check up.

This is not the first time in this year that the President of Pakistan has undergone tests related to his heart. Asif Ali Zardari also visited London in the month of September this year. The visit was made because the President of Pakistan had to carry out
angiography on his heart. However, the report of the test showed that Asif Ali Zardari was under no threat of an ailment of the heart.

The reports made by close associates of the President of Pakistan state that Asif Ali Zardari is not well currently. However, the comments remained general and did not get into the specifics of the President of Pakistan’s ill health.

There were also reports that the President of Pakistan had experienced a heart attack due to which the trip to Dubai was made. However, such claims were put to a stop by the statement given by a spokeswoman for Pakistan People’s Party, Sharmeela Farooqi.
Farooqi was explicitly denied any reports that were made regarding Asif Ali Zardari suffering from a heart attack.
