Marvi made it to “Silver Screen” with an item number

The Pakistani film industry is set for its revival after singers like Sanam Marvi are entering the business. Reports in Pakistan suggest that Marvi has recorded her debut song, as a play back singer, for a latest Lollywood venture
“Ishq Khuda” directed by Shehzad Rafique.

To the most surprise for the listeners, she had recorded an item number which is very unlike her. She has always been a admirer of classical music and started singing at a young age under the renowned singer, Fakir Ghulam Rasool.

However se assures her listeners that she will not disappoint them with an awkward number and confident that her faithful will definitely love it. Marvi revealed that she is delighted to have taken this song that is composed by
Wajahat Attre and written by Ryazur Rahman Sagar.

“I have put my full efforts in this particular song as I wanted to satisfy all the expectations that are attached to me,” 

The movie is itself a Sufi oriented drama movie and now we’ll see how the director has put an item number into the movie. But it is reported that this song will turn out to be a big hit and will act like a trend setter in the Pakistani
music industry.

Marvi, a young emerging artiste on the Pakistani horizon, kick started her professional career with- Coke Studio where she get the deserve applauders for her Sufism approach and poetic taste.

“I have been learning classical music since the age of seven as I was raised by a singer, so it was natural for me to take up singing. Apart from Ustad Fateh Ali Khan, I have learnt from Abida Parveen also. Having studied Sufi
poetry extensively, I am heavily influenced by this genre for it talks about love and peace. I have never performed any pop song in my life.”Marvi was quoted as saying.

“Ishq Khuda” starring veteran actor, Shaan Shahid, and the beautiful, Humaima Mallick (Bol) in a lead female role. If speculations are to believed the Lollywood flick will rock the Pakistani theatres in the mid of next year.
