Mahesh Bhatt says Sunny Leone should not be criticized for starring in ‘Jism 2’

Indian film director, producer and screenwriter, Mahesh Bhatt, wants people not to criticise the Indo-Canadian porn star, Sunny Leone, for making her debut in Bollywood through his high anticipated upcoming
movie ‘Jism 2’, as he believes the idea of looking down upon a porn star is history now.

Leone, who is currently a part of India’s favorite TV show ‘Big Boss’ season 5, will very soon be seen on the big screen because Mahesh Bhatt wants her to star in his film ‘Jism 2’. However, many out there
don’t want Leone to become a part of the Indian cinema, as they reckon her appearance on the big screen will put a negative effect on their children.

Therefore, Bhatt explained why he wants to cast Sunny Leone in ‘Jism 2’. He said everyone has a dark side and he likes the courage that Leone has shown by admitting and revealing her profession to everyone.

Bhatt added almost everyone wants to see or sees porn movies but no one admits it whereas Leone was brave enough to admit what she does.

"Those who give business to the sex industry also condemn it. The people who ridicule a porn star would not be brave enough to admit that they themselves have an insatiable appetite for porn. Otherwise,
how can it become a hundred billion dollar industry? I was 11 or 12 when I learnt about the female anatomy through dirty pictures that made their way to school. But today, kids are introduced to porn much earlier," Bhatt said.

In the end Bhatt stressed that in today’s world porn is everywhere and kids already get to know about it in a very early age. He said Leone is being watched by everyone everyday through ‘Big Boss’ TV show
so there shouldn’t be any problems, if she is doing a film.

“I think the idea of looking down upon a porn star is passe; it needs to be junked into the dustbin of history. The truth is that people watch Sunny every day on a TV show and she is a part of our household
now," Bhatt added.
