‘Don 2’ Patna promo gets cancelled, SRK angry, fans and cops hurt in clash

Bollywood’s superstar, Shahrukh Khan, was much excited to visit Patna for the first time in order to promote his much anticipated upcoming film ‘Don 2 – The King is Back’ but unfortunately the silver screen
star, who is often referred to as ‘King of Bollywood’, was not allowed to land in Patna due to some security issues.

Upon hearing the news thousands of SRK fans that were waiting to see their idol started throwing stones at the security vehicles in a lot of aggression as a result to which many policemen and fans got
hurt.

"The mob pelted Varun with stones," its driver said as he showed the damaged portion of the vehicle.

"Had I not downed the shutters, the mob would have looted my shop," said the owner of a grocery shop located nearby. "The mall was evacuated and the gates were closed," said a guard.

Meanwhile, Shahrukh Khan was also unhappy for not reaching Patna, as the star mentioned it on his tweeter account prior to the incident.

"Was super excited with my first ever visit to Patna but district authorities said some security issue. Will come some other time. Damn!!!" Shah Rukh posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Along with Shahrukh Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani was unhappy too for not reaching Patna.

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani also tweeted: "Feeling sad couldn’t make it to Patna. Was waiting to take off from Mumbai but was told that we cannot land in Patna. Next stop Nagpur!"

The whole ‘Don 2’ team launched their multi-city promotional tour in non-metropolitan centres in India on Tuesday.

‘Don 2 – The King is Back’, which is set to release in the cinemas worldwide on December 23, 2011, is a sequel to the 2006 film ‘Don – The Chase Begins Again’. The film will have Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka
Chopra in the lead roles whilst Om Puri, Lara Dutta and Kunal Kapoor will be seen in the supporting roles.

There is not much time left now when this film will be on the big screens and all left to see if whether if this film will do well in the cinemas or not.
