2 Broke Girls: one of the best comedy sitcom of the era

The 22 minutes sitcom follows two broke girl living in New York City find themselves trying to raise enough money to open their own cupcake business. Sassy, streetwise Max (starred by Kat Dennings) works two jobs, one of which is waiting tables during the
night shifts at the retro-hip Williamsburg Diner. Sophisticated Caroline (played by Beth Behrs) is an uptown trust fund princess who’s having a run of bad luck which forced her to become waitress.
The series generally received positive reviews by the critics. Review aggregator Metacritic gave a score of 66 out of 100 based on 25 critics.
IMDB gave the new sitcom a rating of 7.1 out of 10 by its 5,981 users.
Mathew Gilbert of The Boston Globe was impressed with the casting and production and stated, "The actresses—especially the Gwen Stefani-esque Dennings—transcend their types, and the pop-savvy humor has spirit thanks to producer Michael Patrick King from
Sex and the City. After the forced opening minutes, it’s the best multi-cam-com of the season."
Entertainment Weekly further praised the series by praising Dennings and Behrs on their acting and chemistry.
Verne Gay of the Newsday declared, “The well-written pilot has a couple of brazenly vulgar sight gags, but nothing that will shock ‘Two and a Half Men’ fans.”
The Hollywood Reporter’s TV critic, Tim Goodman reported, “It could be that, like a lot of sitcom pilots, Broke Girls is trying too hard. But when the jokes work, they’re funny, so there’s hope.”
However, 2 Broke Girls received a C from the Washington Post and had a different opinion. Hank Stuever found the series to be dull and also claimed that it had a few cheap laughs.
2 Broke Girls is an interesting new comedy series which is a must watch for everyone.
