Manchester City beat Arsenal

Arsenal and Manchester City took on each other in the Barclays Premier League, as both the teams seemed eager to pick up all three points.

Both the teams needed the win to edge closer to winning the Premier League crown at the end of the season. A win would have seen City go back on top with a two point lead, while a win for Arsenal would have placed them in the third spot in the league.

The match kicked off with both the teams going at each other, but it was City who created the majority of the chances in the first half.

Nonetheless, thanks to the brilliance of Szczesny, the blue side of Manchester headed into the half time break with the score card reading nil all.

The second half kicked off with a bang for City as Silva went on to score a goal, after the ball fell to his feet just two yards from goal.

From then on, the quality of the game improved immensely, as both the teams looked to go all out.

Arsenal started to dominate the midfield and seemed brilliant on the counter. However, City were equally as good and looked to score another goal.

Nonetheless, despite the Gunners going awfully close on a number of occasions, they just couldn’t find the back of the net and the match ended with the final score reading one goal to nil in favour of the home side.

However, Arsenal were going to be more concerned about the fact that Djourou picked up an injury in the game and this meant they had to think about bringing in some signings in January.

At the same time, Arshavin seems to have lost everything that he had and is more than likely to be on his way out of the club sooner, rather than later.
