Imran Khan claims people are joining PTI due to its ideology

Imran Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has said that people are joining his party because of the ideology.

He was talking to the media in a press conference alongside former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Javed Hashmi, who joined PTI today.

According to Imran, "It is first time that politics of ideology is coming into view in Pakistan at the PTI platform."

The cricketer turned politician welcomed Hashmi in PTI and said that he will support every person, who wants change in the current situation of Pakistan.

On the other hand, Hashmi praised the role of PTI in fighting against the corrupt politicians. He claimed that Imran was one of the best cricketers in the world and has proven himself as a champion leader now.

"Imran Khan is champion of politics and is determined to bring change in Pakistan," Hashmi told a news conference along with Imran Khan and Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

There were reports that the senior PML-N leader had a dispute with his former party’s leadership, but he denied such rumours and said, "I had no differences with my ex party, I just left the party, seeing Imran Khan’s speed to bring change in
Pakistan."

Hashmi went onto say that he did not join PTI to achieve any personal goals. He added that the party chief had requested him to join hands in order to save Pakistan and that was the only thing that forced him to take this step.

After Hashmi’s decision to leave PML-N, the party leadership was shattered and felt helpless on the situation.

PML-N’s Rana Sanaullah alleged Hashmi of leaving the party due to the establishment. However, the latter laughed at these comments and said that no one in the establishment has ever dared to come close to him.

Imran was also not pleased with such remarks and said that the rival parties know they will be unable to challenge PTI in the next General Elections and that was why made stupid claims.

He further went onto add that no one has ever been able to control him throughout his career and nothing will change in the future.
