Ganesh Acharya thinks Katrina Kaif is the only reason behind the success of ‘Chikni Chameli’

Choreographer Ganesh Acharya, who directed the dance moves for Katrina Kaif in the popular item number ‘Chikni Chameli’, thinks Katrina is the only reason why the song has become so popular.

Acharya told the media that Katrina did a lot of hard work. He said it was very difficult for her to perform on this song since she is not use to these dance moves.

"Katrina has done a lot of hard work for the song. She has given all the power and dedication that was needed. Only Katrina Kaif could have been Chikni Chameli, nobody else and she has proved it also,"
said Acharya.

Acharya is known best for choreographing popular item numbers like ‘Beedi’ in Omkara and ‘Shalu ke thumke’ in Bin Bulaye Baraati but he thinks it is basically the artist who attracts everyone with his/her
performance.

"We choreographers only choreograph the song, but it is the artist who makes all the difference. She did it very nicely," he added.

"Public has given us a lot of love and appreciation. We gave our best… I did all that I could do from my end. I would like to thank everybody for all the love," he added.

‘Chikni Chameli’ has proved to be as one of the most popular item songs of this year as a result to which the song has already received over 3 millions views on YouTube.

Meanwhile, as per the Bollywood sources, Katrina Kaif has been offered Rs 2 crore to dance to Chikni Chameli on this New Year’s Eve but the actress has turned down the offer because of her family. Katrina
told the media she wants to spend some quality time with her family on the New Year night.

‘Chikni Chameli’ will be featured in Karan Johar’s one of the most awaited films of 2012 ‘Agneepath’, which is all set to release in the cinemas worldwide on January 26, 2012. The film features Hrithik
Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra and Rishi Kapoor in the lead roles.
