Unending CNG upheaval

CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) Stations across the country including Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan are observing indefinite strike to protest closures imposed by the government in an attempt to reduce the intensity of the gas crises.

Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Dr. Asim Hussain warned that the problem has yet to be worsen in the coming few days. The strike was launched by the transporters in the first part while CNG Stations’ owners joined hands with them in the next
phase, making hard the lives of common people.

Tens of thousands across the country are already out on the streets in protest against the shutting down of the stations who warned to destroy all sorts of vehicles from the roads, doubling the miseries of already hapless masses.

In a bid o provide fuel to the already heated situation, the government announced to increase the LPG (Liquefied Pressure Gas) prices. At the time when CNG level is falling very lower, people mostly depend on LPG to meet the both ends.

The government has been failed to answer the question that how vehicles, households and industries will continue its function. Indeed, the incumbent too has nothing to do for the masses.

It is one of the most frightening elements in the entire situation. Moreover, they are no hopes of relief by the government in the coming days, as it has already issued warnings about the tough January.

At the same time, the All Pakistan CNG Association informed about a conspiracy, saying that it was a move launched to promote LNG as a means to fill certain pockets with more money.

The situation will be further deteriorated as common people who had shifted their vehicles on CNG will no longer be able to run their businesses. Consequently, the situation will multiply the miseries of commuters.

Everyone knows that the gas crisis in the country is essentially a consequence of many years of mismanagement and unwise policies of distribution.

However, the present government is too failed to evolve a proper strategy to handle the situation. No hope of sing is coming in the coming days. As the winter brings temperatures even lower in the northern parts of the country, the gas crisis is going deeper
and deeper.
