X-Factor US set to undergo changes in the next season

The US version of the X-Factor is set to undergo changes when before it returns for its next season, it was revealed FOX Entertainment executive Kevin Reilly. He also hinted that host Steve Jones could continue for the second season
despite heavy criticism from the fans over his Welsh accent.

Reilly claimed that hosting a show is a very difficult job and is not as easy as it looks. He insisted that Jones has been under huge amount of pressure throughout the first season of the show which may have affected him but admitted
that the organisers do not plan to axe him from the next edition.

The executive added that Steven Jones comparisons with Ryan Seacrest of American Idol are unfair as the latter has been hosting the show for almost 11 years now. He insisted that the Welshman is surely in the growth process and
stated that there will be considerable improvement in the next season.

“The hosting gig, the only thing I will say, is, as we know, a much harder job than meets the eye. I think everyone has come to realise the value of a Ryan Seacrest. If you dialled the clock back 11 years, I’m not sure everybody
in this room would have given him all the credit at that time. So whether Steve’s the guy or not, it comes under the heading of ‘growth’ in general,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

Kevin Reilly added that the show will undergo a few changes in the next season which will be revealed when the second season of the X-Factor starts at the end of this year.

“There will be some tweaks to the show, but I’ll tell you, I’m very happy to have it and it’s gonna be part of us for a long time,” he concluded.

Melanie Amaro won the first edition of the US X-Factor last year and took home the $5 million prize money. She also has the chance to star in the Pepsi Super Bowl commercial which will be aired during the event later this year.
