Pakistan Tehreek Insaf looking unconditional support

At long last, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) is likely to take a positive step, mulling to scrutinize people before getting into the party.

According to the media reports, the Imran Khan’s PTI has started consultation on what conditions the party should accept politicians who want to join hands with it, quitting other parties.

A meeting of the PTI’s central executive committee has been summoned on January 14, in Lahore, to take some hard decisions about the new entrants. It will hold negotiations whether or not, or under what conditions, the new entrants would be allowed to get in the party, a daily reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, some kingpins in the political arena wanted to join the party but with certain conditions. The big wig names wanted to join the party as a group, seeking tickets for the next general elections from constituencies of their own choice.

However, the cricketer-turned politician is not ready to repeat the past mistakes. He, reportedly, has issued directions to form a committee to examine the willing politicians.

Among the willing candidates, the PML Like Minded is at the top. However, it wants to tie knots with Khan as a set. The report further informed that the reports, the PTI chief is not ready to accept it with conditions, asking the group to join the party without any terms.

Hamid Nasir Chattha, the former speaker of the National Assembly has intentions to join the party but with terms. He wants Khan to give him a guarantee that he would be awarded a ticket from his own constituency of Wazirabad, the report stated.

It is worth highlighting here that Hamid’s opposing candidate from the constituency, Ghulam Sarwar Cheema, has already made an entry into the Imran Khan’s party which is why Chatta is so concerned.

It is also reported that politicians having willingness to join hands with PTI were seeking pledge before announcements.

Conversely, it is up to the party whether it accepts them with terms or not.  The party may lose the credibility among the masses if it adopts the feudal lords with their terms.
