Nawaz Sharif warns political parties for placing their belief in the government

The president of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has warned the political parties for placing their utter belief in the government under the current scenario.

The PML-N leader Nawaz stressed that the government has made a habit of going against the court orders. “Members of the government are constantly flouting [Supreme] court orders. The NRO has not been accepted by parliament but the government is still adamant
on ignoring the court’s verdict,” he said.

The opposition chief has occupied the chance of getting in the hot seat. He told that he will start negotiations with all parties, including the allies of the government, to outline an agreeable course to his demand of early general elections.

He has also warned the government from doing any ‘adventurism’ in the session of National Assembly. Sources told that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) might attempt to seek a vote of confidence for the President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza
Gilani.

He emphasised that the PPP has jeopardised the democratic setup through its strategy and they have been consistent in defying court orders.

The government has summoned National Assembly’s session to argue the issues created by Supreme Court’s order regarding the implementation of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

The PML-N has stated that if the Prime Minister or the President intends to play a game in the National Assembly tomorrow, they will strongly contest it.

“We will contact opposition parties as well as coalition partners and ask them to be mindful of putting their faith in the government under the current circumstances,” Nawaz Sharif added.

He further added that instead of taking the country out of crisis the government has thrown Pakistan into another one. He blamed the government for causing clash among the institutions. While addressing a question regarding Prime Minister’s recent statement
against the Army Chief, General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani, Nawaz asked the military to be ‘patient’.

He stressed that all institutions should adhere to their constitutional rights. He also told that PML-N will now try to combine with the other political parties including the coalition partners.
