The American Idol judge has admitted that he is excited to see more new talent coming in the show in the next few months. The record producer has been judging the show since 2002 and has mentored some great talents
which include Kelly Clarkson and Chris Daughtry.

Jackson stated that there have been people who have become stars in recent times from which the judges did not expect anything at all. He insisted that people from every corner of life have participated in the show which tells
the popularity of the show.

“One again I think we’re so blessed with really amazing talent and what I’m really impressed by – like last year – is there is such a variety. People who would never have auditioned for the show ever showed up and [we have] different
types of musical styles,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

The American artist played down reports that the show only focuses on pop genre. He stated that there are artists from every genre selected in the competition including the jazz and R&B. He added that the show always focuses on
country music so it is a competition for all genres. He admitted that he loves the variety of music on the show and the different weeks which get the best out of a singer.

“I think people have the misconception that this is just a pop show but we’ve got R&B, jazz, even some kids with some hip-hop flavour, and of course, we always have country. I just love the variety,” he concluded.

The latest season of the show will commence from the 18th of January as the auditions will begin will all the judges.
