Dereck Chisora wants David Haye to stay away from boxing

Former British heavyweight champion, Dereck Chisora, has slammed and ridiculated David Haye ahead of his World Boxing Council title match against Vitali ‘Dr. Ironfist’ Klitschko.

Chisora and Vitali are set to take on each other on February 18 at Olmpiahalle in Munich, Bayern. However, former WBA heavyweight champion Haye is also bidding strongly to set up a fight against Vitali and this news has not gone down well with Chisora as a result to which the 28-year-old has reminded Haye of his embarrassing defeat against Vitali’s younger brother Wladimir Klitschko.

The Hayemaker, Haye, fought Dr. Steelhammer, Wladimir Klitschko, for the WBA, IBF, WBO and The Ring heavyweight titles on July 2, 2011 at the Hamburg’s Football Stadium in Germany. Haye-Wladimir bout was one of the biggest bouts in the British boxing and it had much hype ahead of it.

Before the bout Haye declared a lot but on the fight night he lost to Wladimir via unanimous point’s decision, which left all of the British people in embarrassment. Thus, Chisora reckons now there is no point for Haye to make a comeback since he thinks Haye had his chance.

“Haye had his chance to back up all the pre-fight bull he came out with against Wladimir, but he put up that embarrassing performance and then topped it by blaming it on his injured little toe,” stormed Chisora.

He added, “I think it’s just embarrassing, Wladimir made a laughing stock out of him and Vitali would knock him out. Haye should just stay retired and out of the sport, he had his time and failed on his biggest night, now I’m going to go out there and show him how to fight a Klitschko.”

Haye, who walked away from the sport on his 31^st birthday, was considered as one of the best among the British boxers and he still has an army of fans who follow him everywhere. So, if Haye fights Vitali, it is fair to say many boxing fans will flock to the arena but let’s see if he gets a chance.
