UAE boxer Eisa Al Dah wants Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather fight in Dubai

UAE born welterweight contender, Eisa Al Dah, who is currently residing in Bristol, Gloucestershire, wants the super-fight between eight-division world champion, Manny Pacquiao, and five-division world champion, Floyd Mayweather, to take place in Dubai since he believes such a big fight will make a huge impact on the entire region.

Gulf News revealed that Eisa has urged officials of the Persian Gulf State to bring the fight in Dubai.

“I believe and I hope that if the right people would talk to the government with the right proposals and promote it in such a way that the government would see the potential of bringing it here (Dubai), then we could have a chance, “said UAE welterweight.

The current WBO Welterweight Champion, Manny Pacquiao, and the current WBC Welterweight Champion, Floyd Mayweather, are rated as the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world as a result to which their fight is one of the most eagerly awaited fights in the sport.

Both pound-for-pound Kings have always stayed at a distance from each other due to their dispute over random blood-testing but now when the biggest fight in the history of boxing ($100 million) is finally expected to happen at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, people are much-excited and Eisa is also one of them. However, the pugilist, who is more commonly known as the Arabian Warrior thinks Dubai would be a better venue for the fight because of its accessibility.

“It would sell out the entire city, we are talking about our travel agencies, hotels and restaurants, our businesses and economy receiving a major boost. The impact would be big for the entire market and it would open the door, not only to Dubai, but the entire region. People would come from all over the world,” he said.

The undefeated American legend, Mayweather, who holds a perfect record of winning all of his 42 professional fights, including 26 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, has challenged the Filipino star to fight him on May 5. Though nothing has been signed in black and white, this time the chances are pretty bright.

Anyways, all left to see is whether if the fight will really be moved to Dubai or not.
