The Days of PPP and PML (N) Are Gone – Imran Khan

Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has claimed that the middle-class of the country is no longer ready to accept the two tried and tested political parties of the country and believes that even if Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan
Muslim League (N) join hands, they cannot defeat the tsunami of PTI.

Imran’s party is fast growing as one of the most popular political parties of the country after its massive public gatherings in Lahore and Karachi last year. Since then, a number of political stalwarts have joined PTI and now the analysts feel that the
young party is the third major force in the political scenario of Pakistan.

A number of political pundits may not agree but Imran is confident that a silent revolution has taken place in Pakistan and the middle class of the country is firmly behind PTI. The cricketer turned politician is completely writing off the two mainstream
parties and feels that their days have been counted now.

Imran said, “If the two big parties get together against us, they will still lose because Pakistan has changed.  There is a revolution that has taken place.”

While talking about the on-going confrontation between the judiciary and the executive, Imran made it clear that his party will support the Supreme Court of Pakistan at any cost.

“Public opinion is firmly behind the Supreme Court. If the court passes a contempt judgment against Gilani, then the people will be standing behind the court. And I will certainly be there if Gilani tries to take on the court,” the Chairman PTI expressed.

Former World Cup winning captain further slammed Pakistan’s policy in the war against terrorism and feels that the country should never have indulged in someone else’s war. For the betterment of Pakistan, Imran is of the opinion that elections are the need
of the hour and the country needs a new government with brand new policies.

He added, “Pakistan can’t be a war zone and expect investment. Every day the government stays in power, the economy is sinking. As a Pakistani, the quicker the election is held the better.”
