How Training and Development can help a company grow?

If an organisation aims to be the best online retailer, the industry has to go through different challenges in which one of them is to increase the responsiveness. Let’s suppose the ABC organisation believes that more and more customers can be attracted
by increasing the sales force, being more customer friendly, and encouraging employees. It also wants to focus on expanding its product line in order to provide customer with more variety at a lower cost. The company will have to overcome all these challenges
which could be beneficial if successful or have its negative effects if it is a failure.

The ABC can meet these challenges through the employee training and development. It can provide its workforce with a proper platform through which they could earn knowledge of the company’s products and services, and learn how to sell these products to the
customers. The employees could also get training of how to catch more customers in order to make ABC the best online retailer. Training and development could also help the company grow by asking the experienced employers to train the new upcoming employees
in order to increase the workforce which would eventually result in bringing new customers and the profitability will rise.

Now, let us take a look at what could be the two least productive factors in employee training and development:

a)      Creating Fun and a little weirdness & being adventurous, creative and open minded:

These are the two factors which can’t be influenced by the training and development. It is the art which every person doesn’t possess, and creativity comes from nature. One can’t arrange training practices to bring in creativity inside a person or make him
adventurous.  Secondly, the open mindedness varies from person to person. One can’t force an individual to talk in a specific manner he/she isn’t used to of talking. Therefore training and development will have least influence on these two factors.

b)     Pursue Growth and Learning & Building open and honest relationship with Customers:

Training and Development can have a positive impact on these two values. The employees will get better know-how of the company’s products and they will know how to pitch about the company’s products to the potential customers. Secondly, the employees will
understand the importance of building honest and open relationship with its clients. If you stay honest, the client is certain to get back to you, but if you sale a specific product for a higher price than the original cost than it is just a one-time advantage
and the customer will never be returning to the same company which will eventually portray a bad image of the company.
