Pakistan National team coach Zavisa Milosavljevic has revealed that he will be relying more on the foreign-based players, as he looks to win friendly games scheduled for 29th February and the 4th of March.

Under the guidance of the Serbian tactician, the Green-Shirts put up a decent display in the 2011 SAFF Cup. Although Pakistan were undefeated in the group-stage, they bowed out of the prestigious tournament, which means that there is still a lot of room
for improvement.

The attack in particular needs strengthening as the lack of a proper striker up-front has cost the country dearly in its past few matches.

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) will make the most of the FIFA match dates coming up on the 29th of February and the 4th of March and it is reported that the Federation has written to their UAE and Thai counterparts in order
to schedule friendlies.

Although the games haven’t been confirmed, Zavisa Milosavljevic is leaving no stone unturned as he prepares for the proposed ties.

The trainer is allegedly looking to take a tour of Denmark and England to scout talent and has revealed his decision to rely on foreign players for upcoming matches, until the local boys are up to International standards.

“I will start the national camp on February 15. “I’m calling foreign players and choosing the best Pakistan players to form a good team."

“But I’ll rely more on the foreign players since they understand the sport better. But this doesn’t mean that players here are not good enough. They were late groomers and I feel in modern-day football, players are groomed at the age of seven and eight.
So foreign players is a temporary fix.”

Although the Serbian is currently opting for a short-term solution to Pakistan’s problems, he has proposed that the PFF start developing youngsters, so that they can be utilized when they have reached a certain age and can play at a high level.

Meanwhile, calling up the likes of Adnan Ahmed, Atif Bashir, Yousuf Butt, Hassan Bashir, Nabil Aslam and Zeeshan Rehman is best course of action, given their quality and the experience they will bring to the team.
