Bob Arum wants Floyd Mayweather to call or text him to have a fight with Manny Pacquiao in November

Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, for the first time has confirmed that he and his Top Rank president, Todd duBoef, are also eager to see a clash between Floyd Mayweather Jnr and Manny Pacquiao, who are regarded as the best fighters on the planet. However, Arum stated the fight cannot take place before November this year and if Mayweather wants to fight his man, he can simply send them a massage.

“We can put this fight together now, not for May of course, but put it together now for November,” Arum told Michael Marley at examiner.com.

Arum added, “All Floyd has to do is to give us some direction. Let Mayweather tell us who he wants us to speak to make this fight.”

“You sit with the right people, you figure it all out,” Arum said. There’s no reason we can’t do this now, I mean to make the fight for November.”

The undefeated American legend, Mayweather Jnr, challenged his welterweight rival, Pacquiao, for a May 5 fight but the Filipino star cancelled the deal when Mayweather said he doesn’t want to have a 50/50 split with him. Still, many out there believe Arum is one who is dodging Mayweather Jnr because he wants to make as much money as he can by cashing in on Pacquiao.

Nevertheless, Arum is not bothered about the critics since he thinks it is ridiculous. Arum insisted everyone knows why the fight has not been made and if Mayweather will not change his mind, the fight will never happen.

“I don’t want it, Manny won’t take it without a 50-50 split. We’d never do that. But I want the fight and, more importantly, Manny wants it,” concluded Arum.

Currently, Timothy Bradley, who presently holds the WBO light welterweight championship belt, is the frontrunner for Pacquiao, as Juan Manuel Marquez, Lamont Peterson and Miguel Cotto have all gone out of the picture.

Miguel Cotto does have a chance but he is not agreeing to fight Pacquiao on the welterweight limit of 147 pounds.
