Liam Neeson thinking of becoming a Muslim

The 59 year-old is contemplating about changing religion. Today, a devoted Catholic, a Muslim possibly tomorrow, as the idea keeps lingering on his mind as the actor claims of converting to Islam.

Liam Neeson felt on his recent trip to Istanbul, Turkey, during the filming of his latest film, that Islamic prayer "entered his mind," said

Significantly, the Irish actor said that “The call to prayer happens five times a day and for the first week it drives you crazy, and then it just gets into your spirit and it’s the most beautiful thing. There are 4,000 mosques in the city. Some are just
stunning and it really makes me think about becoming a Muslim.”

Finally, Neeson said: "“I was reared a Catholic, but I think every day we ask ourselves, not consciously, what are we doing on this planet? What’s it all about?” he has said. “I’m constantly reading books on God or the absence of God and atheism.”

The action-thriller film "The Grey", starring the veteran, reached the top spot for ticket sales in its first weekend grossing 19.7 million dollars. The actor is still one of the favorite stars in the action category, after his recent film came on the back
of previous renowned thrillers "Taken" and "Unknown".

"Liam is a true movie star," said Tom Ortenberg, executive director of the Open Road Films. "The Grey" is the second film in the newly formed distribution company, established by the AMC theater chains Regal. "I think Liam Neeson can be a success in action
movies at any time of the year," he said.

January is a month that movie makers do not have much faith in the picture to do well.
