Pak Army contingent leaves for United Nations Mission at Darfur Sudan

Rawalpindi: (Thursday, February 02, 2012) A Pakistan Army contingent left today for United Nations Mission at Darfur Sudan.

The contingent which comprised of 245 soldiers was seen off by Brigadier Amal Zada Khan.

Seeing the soldiers off, Brigadier Zada wished them success while performing their duties and maintaining peace and stability at Darfur.

It may be recalled that Pakistan has always endeavoured to provide maximum possible support to maintain peace and stability around the world and has been at the forefront in international peacekeeping missions.

Pakistan’s participation in peacekeeping activities of the United Nations reflects its belief in the brotherhood of mankind and its commitment to peace across the world.
