Boxer Amir Khan introduces his fiancée Faryal Makhdoom at a £150,000 engagement party  

Last weekend, the former unified WBA (Super) and IBF light welterweight champion, Amir Khan, introduced his knockout fiancée, Faryal Makhdoom, with a £150,000 bash at the Rebook Stadium in his hometown of Bolton.

The 25-year-old Bolton’s finest, who is also known as King Khan, presented Faryal with a stunning diamond ring of worth £100,000 in front of a crowd of over 1000 people. The 20-year-old New York born beauty, Faryal, on the same note also presented her beau with an equally impressive ring.

The lavishing party was attended by many famous faces from the world of sports including Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton, Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand.

After the party, Khan was pretty excited and he shared his feelings with his fans on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

After the party Amir tweeted: “Amazing day, I’m so tired and my fiance faryal looked so beautiful and was very patient, everyone loved it, I love my ring faryal got me x” (sic)

Amir was also very happy when he and Faryal disclosed their marriage plans, earlier this month.

Amir gushed over his love: “A lot of girls back home have said to me, “Your girl is beautiful” – and that’s great because people can be so jealous.”

Faryal, who is an American student, also spoke to the media and she admitted she will now have to learn the British accent, as she said she finds Amir’s accent very hard to understand at times.

“I was used to London accents and thought that’s how everyone spoke in Britain,” she told the Sun last week.

“But when Amir opened his mouth it was completely different.

“It was like he was speaking in a foreign tongue — so I just used to nod, agree with whatever he was talking about and say, ‘Yeah’.”

Faryal came all the way from New York to attend her engagement party along with her family and now she has plans to stay with her husband-to-be in Bolton, at least a week. The couple will start their new life in the north of England.
