Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson wants to do a Bollywood film

The 39-year-old American actor and professional wrestler, Dwayne Johnson, who is more commonly as the Rock, has revealed he likes Indian film industry and would love to do a Bollywood film, if he gets a chance.

Dwayne, who has worked in the films like ‘The Scorpion King’, ‘Faster’, ‘Doom’, ‘The Other Guys’, ‘Tooth Fairy’, ‘Be Cool’, ‘Walking Tall’, ‘Planet 51’, ‘The Game Plan’, ‘Get Smart’, ‘Gridiron Gang’, ‘Race to Witch Mountain’ and ‘Fast Five’, insisted he always enjoys watching the dancing and singing part in Hindi cinema.

“I have watched a couple of Bollywood films. I totally love the dancing part…It’s so much fun to watch and I am sure I will have a blast doing it too,” Johnson told PTI in an email interview.

Dwayne Johnson will soon be seen in Brad Peyton’s much-anticipated upcoming 3D film ‘Journey 2 – The Mysterious Island’, which is a sequel to the 2008 release ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’.

Johnson got great response from the audiences in 2008 for his performance and the actor feels himself lucky because he thinks to become a good actor is not easy, especially for a wrestler.

“It was hard to break ice because a wrestler is perceived differently by people. I am very grateful that some of the filmmakers saw potential in me and trusted me with films especially comedy. I am glad I didn’t disappoint them,” Johnson said.

“This is a great and exciting time in my career, where I can have the opportunity to work in different genres, and also I recognize that there are not a lot of actors who have that opportunity and I’m grateful for it,” he added.

Johnson is not going to be the first one to work in Bollywood, as several English actors have worked for the industry before as well.

The Indo-Canadian porn star, Sunny Leone, is also going to be seen on the Indian big screen since Mahesh Bhatt has signed her for his much-anticipated upcoming film ‘Jism 2’, which is a sequel to the 2003 hit ‘Jism’. Moreover, young hottie-on-the-Holly-block, Vanessa Hudgens, has also shown interest in Bollywood.

Nevertheless, let’s see whether if Dwayne Johnson gets a chance or not.
