Hrithik Roshan doesn’t think of himself as a star

Hrithik Roshan is one of the leading Bollywood actors at this point in time but the superstar has insisted he doesn’t think of himself as a star.

Komal Nahta of Koimoi.com recently asked Roshan in an exclusive interview that how he manages to avoid his ego and Roshan replied by saying that it is not difficult for him because he doesn’t think of himself as a star.

“People think that you can’t walk on a street because you are a star… I agree, because if you walk like a star, you can’t walk on a street. (If) you walk like a normal guy, then you can. And I walk the streets, go for jog, I am on the roads. I meet people, shake hands and say good morning to them with a smile.”

Hrithik recently portrayed the character of ‘Vijay Deenanath Chauhan’ in Karan Johar’s ‘Agneepath’ and he has been highly appreciated by the audiences. ‘Vijay Deenanath Chauhan’ was introduced by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan in the original ‘Agneepath’, which was released in 1990. Therefore, many out there have compared Hrithik with Mr. Bachchan.

Nevertheless, Hrithik feels the new Vijay cannot be compared with the old one. The 38-year-old actor stressed that the original character showed a man with a baritone and towering personality but the new character has no such thing.

He said, “I keep saying, in this film I am not Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, I am just Vijay.”

“The best part was it did not remind me of the old Agneepath and my character in this film, Vijay, is completely different from the one played by Mr. Bachchan. There is nothing special in this Vijay that makes him out to be a hero,” Hrithik added.

Well, no matter what Hrithik says, he has truly done a magnificent job in ‘Agneepath’ and he is one of the main reasons behind the film’s stupendous success. Meanwhile, the likes of Sunjay Dutt, Rishi Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif also contributed a lot in making the film a record-breaker at the Indian box office.
