Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari are Brothers – Imran Khan

Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has slammed the leadership of the two mainstream political parties of the country and said that both of them are trying to make a fool of the nation.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is in the federal government since last four years and Pakistan Muslim League (N) supported them for a long period of time. However, the relations between the two parties have deteriorated since last one year.

Imran feels that PML (N) has started to criticize PPP only in the fear of PTI, which is the emerging force in the domestic politics of Pakistan. The Chairman PTI has said it a number of times that PPP and PML (N) are one and the same thing and the later
has always given support to the former, whenever it required.

However, he believes that the two parties cannot underestimate the collective wisdom of the nation, which is aware of the political happenings of the country because of a vibrant electronic media.

The leader of PML (N) Mian Mohammad Nawaz took the memo-gate scandal to the Supreme Court of Pakistan last year but Imran expressed that Sharif backed off and the characters of the whole controversy were not exposed, which Sharif had promised to do. He further
added that because of Sharif’s lack of interest in the case, memo-gate scandal looks to be a part of history now.

Imran said, “Nawaz Sharif had filed a petition with the apex court to expose memo scandal characters but where is he (Nawaz). There is nothing left in the memo issue.”

The cricketer turned politician labelled Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari as brothers and expressed that they cannot beat the rising popularity of PTI, as the people of Pakistan need a change in the political setup.

“The two brothers – [President Asif Ali] Zardari and Nawaz – have always been together. They have only separated due to the fear of the tsunami. They have been together for four years, how can they now blame each other for conspiracy,” the Chairman PTI added.

It remains to be seen that PTI converts its popularity into a huge vote-bank in the upcoming elections or not.
