Timothy Bradley confident of beating Manny Pacquiao

The Desert Storm, Timothy Bradley, is fully geared up ahead of his mega-fight with the eight-division world champion and the current WBO welterweight champion, Manny Pacquiao, which will take place on June 9 this year at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The undefeated American pugilist, Bradley, who currently holds the WBO light welterweight championship belt, has never been defeated in the ring yet many out there believe he it will be an easy night for the Filipino star. However, the 28-year-old Bradley has a different point of view.

Though Bradley admitted Pacquiao, who is the current pound-for-pound best in the world, is a very skilled pugilist, he said he knows how to beat him.

Bradley stated, “A lot of people don’t believe that I belong in the ring with Manny Pacquiao, but I know differently. Don’t get me wrong; I think Pacquiao is a great fighter, but I’ve seen some things that I know I can capitalize on when we meet in the ring. A lot of the guys that he’s been facing lately haven’t been able to capitalize on his weaknesses.”

In the meantime, Bradley also discussed Pacquiao’s last fight with the Mexican Dinamita, Juan Manuel Marquez, which took place at the same arena last year. It was a highly-anticipated trilogy bout but Pacquiao hardly managed a win in it.

Bradley insisted Manuel lost the fight because he didn’t take any chances. He remarked Manuel just waited and countered Manny and he will not make this mistake.

“Marquez just waited for Pacquiao to make mistakes and took advantage of them, but he didn’t take enough chances to win the fight. I will take enough intelligent chances to beat Manny.”

Well, one thing is for sure that it will not be an easy night for Pac-Man because after a long time he is fighting an opponent much younger than him.

The fight has not yet officially been announced but it gets real very soon, as Bradley has confirmed it.

“I haven’t signed anything, but we’re negotiating that,” Bradley said. “It’s just minor details on the contract.”
